By News Desk

Pakistan's National Central Bureau (NCB)-Interpol issued 286 red notices over the past seven months to track fugitives wanted in cases involving murder, fraud, terrorism and human trafficking. During the same period, 53 fugitives were arrested abroad and extradited back to Pakistan.
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General Dr Usman Anwar, who also heads NCB-Interpol Pakistan, said a total of 290 Interpol notices were issued during this timeframe, which included two blue notices and two yellow notices alongside the red notices.
National Central Bureaus act as each country's designated contact point for Interpol operations, linking domestic law enforcement agencies with counterparts in other nations and with the Interpol General Secretariat through the I-24/7 global police communications network.
Breaking down the red notices, Anwar said 225 were issued for individuals wanted in connection with murder and attempted murder cases, 19 for financial fraud and deception, six for human trafficking, and three for terrorism-related offenses. The remaining 33 notices covered suspects wanted for kidnapping, corruption, robbery and cybercrime.
