Yellow Fog Warning Issued for Donegal and Seven Other Counties
Met Eireann has issued a status yellow fog warning for Donegal tonight, along with seven other counties. The warning covers areas of dense fog that will reduce visibility and make driving difficult. It will be in effect from 10 pm Monday until 10 am Tuesday. The agency also warned of a risk of frost as temperatures fall to –1 °C. Met Eireann said: "Dry and cold tonight with mostly clear skies at first, but with some mist and fog forming, which will likely become fairly widespread and dense in some areas. Lowest temperatures generally between –1 and 4 degrees, with some frost in near calm conditions." All Donegal roads on the winter maintenance list will be gritted from 6 am Tuesday, 3 November. No road is expected to be ice‑free. Check the Donegal County Council interactive map for gritting routes.
