Overnight showers in Gurugram on Friday lifted the city’s air‑quality index (AQI) from 243 to 80, a satisfactory level, according to the district administration. The rain also caused waterlogging on several key roads, disrupting traffic. Residents reported flooding on the Sector 10, 102/102A stretch and Sohna Road near Aria Mall. Sunil Sareen, a resident of Sector 102, said the brief rainfall leaves the 102/102A stretch waterlogged, making it difficult for commuters. He added that the stretch had recently been revamped but waterlogging remains an issue. Civic authorities deployed suction tankers and pumps to remove the accumulated water.

The district recorded its highest rainfall in Pataudi tehsil, with 80 mm in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 am on Friday, followed by Farrukhnagar (51 mm), Sohna (42 mm), Wazirabad (39 mm), Badshahpur sub‑tehsil (38 mm), Gurugram tehsil (27 mm), and Kadipur and Harsaru sub‑tehsils (26 mm each).

Commuters also reported slower traffic on NH‑48 near Sarhol, Kapashera road (Delhi‑Haryana border), Sushant Lok Phase 1, and Old Railway road. Traffic snarls were noted in Sector 37 near Hero Honda Chowk, Sector 45 near Ghata Chowk, and parts of Manesar as of 11:30 am. The AQI at that time was 80, down from 243 the previous day.
