Over 200 Flyers Face Long Wait as Two Air India Express Flights Delayed Over 7 Hours

Date:

More than 200 passengers were left frustrated after two Air India Express flights faced delays of over seven hours during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. The Bengaluru-Pune flight IX-2913, scheduled to depart at 5:35 pm on Saturday, finally took off at 2:15 am on Sunday after a delay of more than eight hours. Another Air India Express flight, IX-1098 from Pune to Bhubaneswar, departed at 4:45 am on Sunday instead of its scheduled 9:10 pm departure, recording a delay of seven hours and 35 minutes. Passengers said the airline cited bad weather as the reason, but many complained about poor communication, lack of clear timelines and inadequate assistance during the long wait. Some flyers also questioned why other flights appeared to operate normally while their flights remained delayed. The incident has once again raised concerns over airline communication, passenger support and compensation during extended flight delays.
