GCC Removes Large Cutouts of CM Vijay and Jagan Mohan Reddy in Chennai
By Rediff News

The Greater Chennai Corporation removed large cutouts of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy from MRC Nagar on Thursday, according to an official. The cutouts had been erected by YSRCP supporters to welcome the leaders at a family wedding of former Andhra CM. The removal was carried out because the structures violated strict public‑space regulations. The official said the action was part of a broader effort to clear dangerous hoarding frames and public banners across the city during the northeast monsoon. Later that evening, Chief Minister Vijay attended the wedding reception of Y. S. Anil Reddy’s daughter, Shreya, at a private hotel in Chennai. Anil is a cousin of Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
