At the party head office in Chennai on Sunday, general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami chaired a meeting of AIADMK district secretaries. Rebel leaders S.P. Velumani and Natham R. Viswanathan did not attend. The meeting covered the party’s recent bypoll results in Dharapuram and Madurantakam Assembly constituencies and preparations for the upcoming general council and executive committee meetings scheduled for December.
