Glass Wall Systems Secures ₹128 Crore from Anchor Investors Ahead of ₹428-Crore IPO

Glass Wall Systems (India) Ltd. has raised ₹128.37 crore from anchor investors ahead of its initial public offering, which opens for public subscription on September 8, 2026. The company allotted more than 70 lakh shares to institutional investors, including HDFC Mutual Fund and Bank of India Mutual Fund, at the upper end of its price band of ₹182 per share.

The public issue, valued at approximately ₹428 crore, will be open for bidding through September 10, with the price band set between ₹172 and ₹182 per share. Shares are tentatively scheduled to list on the BSE and National Stock Exchange on September 16, 2026.

With the anchor round complete, attention now shifts to participation from retail, non-institutional, and other investor categories during the three-day bidding period.

The IPO structure is heavily weighted toward an Offer for Sale (OFS). Of the total issue size, ₹60 crore represents fresh equity, while ₹367.89 crore comes from an OFS by existing shareholders. As a result, about 86% of the proceeds will go to selling shareholders rather than to the company itself. The fresh issue proceeds are earmarked mainly for building a new glass processing unit at the company's existing facility in Vile Bhagad, Maharashtra, part of an effort to expand in-house processing capabilities.

The company has posted strong operational figures, including a Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) of 43.01% and a debt-to-equity ratio of 0.03 as of FY26. However, certain risks remain. Glass Wall Systems depends heavily on a single manufacturing facility in Maharashtra, making it vulnerable to any disruption at that site. The company also faces significant customer concentration, with about 86.4% of revenue coming from its top 10 clients, leaving its financial performance closely tied to the decisions and project timelines of a small number of key customers.

Founded in 2002, Glass Wall Systems specializes in facade and fenestration solutions, with a business closely linked to the real estate and construction sectors—industries known for cyclical demand and sensitivity to global market conditions.

Market participants are expected to closely watch subscription figures over the coming days as an indicator of investor sentiment ahead of the listing.
