OnePlus has launched its latest budget smartphone, the OnePlus N6x 5G, in India with a starting price of Rs 17,499 (effective price after bank discount) for the 4GB + 64GB variant. The device, which was officially unveiled on July 31, 2026, at 12 PM IST, features a massive 7,000mAh battery and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset.

The OnePlus N6x starts at a maximum operating price (MOP) of Rs 18,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, and Rs 20,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant. During the initial sale, the company is offering a Rs 1,500 bank discount, bringing the effective price down to Rs 17,499 and Rs 19,499 respectively for the two variants.

Display and Design

The N6x features a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720×1570 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming. The display supports up to 900 nits peak brightness, dark mode, eye protection mode, screen color temperature adjustment, and various screen color modes. It also includes up to 300% ultra volume support for enhanced audio.

The phone comes in two color options: Burgundy Red with a ribbed, textured rear panel and Ice Blue with a smoother finish. Both variants feature a distinctive capsule-shaped dual camera module in the top corner, a design that differs from the standard OnePlus N6.

Performance and Software

The OnePlus N6x is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset, a 6nm fabrication octa-core processor that can run at clock speeds up to 2.4GHz. The device runs on OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 out of the box.

For thermal management, the phone features a 5300mm square VC cooling system to keep temperatures in check during intensive tasks. The device also comes with 48 months of Fluency Certification, ensuring smooth performance over an extended period.

Camera

On the photography front, the N6x features a 13-megapixel main rear camera with CMOS sensor, autofocus, and 10x digital zoom support. The camera can record videos at 1080p resolution at 30fps. For selfies and video calling, the phone has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Battery and Charging

The standout feature of the OnePlus N6x is its massive 7,000mAh battery, which OnePlus claims can deliver up to 2.5 days of use on a single charge. The battery supports 15W wired fast charging and 5W wired reverse charging, allowing users to charge other devices using the phone.

The device also features bypass charging support, which helps reduce heat generation during charging while using the phone.

Durability

OnePlus has equipped the N6x with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification, tested for temperatures between -40°C and 85°C, salt corrosion, sand and dust exposure, and 25 consecutive drops onto marble surfaces.

The phone also features four-layer ArmorShell Protection, comprising reinforced corners, airbag cushioning, hardened glass, and an aluminium frame, along with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

Availability and Sale

The OnePlus N6x will go on open sale from August 4, 2026, at 12 noon IST. The device will be available online through OnePlus.in, the OnePlus Store App, and Amazon.in. It will also be available offline through OnePlus Experience Stores and select retail outlets across India.
