Dulquer Salmaan Questioned for Seven Hours as Customs Continues Luxury Car Investigation

Date:

Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan may be summoned again by the Customs Preventive Department as part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged luxury car smuggling case linked to vehicles suspected to have been imported illegally through the Bhutan route. According to reports, the actor was questioned for nearly seven hours as officials examined documents and details connected to luxury vehicles associated with him. The probe is part of a wider crackdown on alleged tax evasion and illicit import of high-end cars, with Customs officials reportedly scrutinising multiple vehicles and their ownership records. Dulquer has maintained that the vehicles were acquired through legal means, and the investigation is now focused on verifying documents, import records, registration details and purchase history. Officials are expected to call him again for further clarification as they continue checking whether the paperwork and transactions match legal requirements. The case has attracted major public attention because Dulquer is one of Malayalam cinema’s most popular actors, but authorities have not announced any final finding against him. At this stage, the matter remains under investigation, and the actor’s position is that the vehicles were legally purchased. The next round of questioning, if issued, is expected to help Customs verify remaining details and decide the further course of action in the case.
