NTA Says NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Result Will Be Declared at the Earliest After Answer Key Review

The National Testing Agency is expected to announce the NEET UG 2026 re-exam result soon after closing the objection window for the provisional answer key. The re-examination was conducted on June 21 across the country, with around 20 lakh candidates appearing for the medical entrance test. After the exam, NTA released the provisional answer key and question papers on June 25 and allowed candidates to raise objections till June 28. With the answer key challenge window now closed, the agency has said it is working on finalising the results and will declare them at the earliest. According to NTA, this year the answer key challenge process was started while OMR sheet scanning was still underway, so that candidates could review provisional answers early and experts could begin examining objections without waiting for the full scanning process to finish. This parallel process is meant to speed up the final answer key and result declaration. Once released, candidates will be able to check their NEET UG 2026 re-exam result through the official NTA portal using their required login credentials. The final answer key will play an important role because the result will be prepared after reviewing valid objections raised by candidates. For medical aspirants, the result is a crucial step in the admission process, as NEET scores are used for undergraduate medical and allied health courses across India. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official website regularly, avoid relying on fake result links, and keep their application number and other details ready for quick access once the scorecard is published.
