Five Fans Fell Through Stand During Tromsø vs. Bodø/Glimt Match
By Reuters and The Associated Press

During a top‑division match between Tromsø and Bodø/Glimt, a panel in the away‑supporters stand at Tromsø’s stadium gave way, causing several fans to fall through the hole. The game was halted just before half‑time when Bodo goalkeeper Nikita Haikin alerted the referee to the incident behind the goal, where the away fans were standing in the pouring rain. Tromsø’s statement said a serious incident had occurred in the away stand and that up to five people fell through the stands, with one being taken to hospital. Bodo press officer Simen Pedersen told Reuters that one fan was sent to hospital, but no details about the injuries were released. A Bodo supporter, Andrine Moen, described the collapse: “We stood and bounced to a supporter song, then the floor gave way; it cracked in two in the row in front of us.” She added that at least two people fell through the floor, though the total number was unclear. Bodo fans were instructed to leave the away section, while Tromsø fans were asked to make space for them elsewhere in the ground. After consultations among the two clubs, the Norwegian Football Federation, supporters and police, the match resumed. Bodo’s Ola Brynhildsen scored twice, helping his side move to the top of the Eliteserien table, ahead of Viking Stavanger on goal difference.
