Secret Service Detains Man Near White House After Claiming He Heard Voices Urging Him to Kill Trump
By AP

The U.S. Secret Service announced that a suspect has been taken into custody and charged after officers found him in a vehicle parked near the White House with multiple firearms. The arrest, made Thursday night (November 7, 2026), followed a Homeland Security statement that Secret Service officers approached a man who was “acting suspicious” in the parked car. The suspect, Ronny Yordrix Guanipa Chrinos, then told officers that he had heard voices in his head telling him to come to the nation’s capital and kill President Donald Trump. Officers later discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen and that Chrinos possessed three different firearms and dozens of rounds of ammunition. The incident is part of a series of arrests made by the Secret Service and other law‑enforcement agencies against individuals who have threatened Trump or his family members since he returned to office last year. DHS said Chrinos is a migrant from Venezuela who entered the U.S. illegally through Texas in March 2024. He has been charged and remains in U.S. Marshals Service custody. The White House declined to comment, instead referring to DHS and the Secret Service. “Thanks to our brave Secret Service officers, this illegal alien with three firearms in his vehicle was arrested near the White House before he could harm anyone,” Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said in the statement.
