The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasts a sharp widening of temperature differences between morning and afternoon on the 4th, especially across central inland areas. Morning lows will range from 3 to 11 °C, while daytime highs will be 15 to 19 °C. Frost is expected to form in parts of inland and mountainous Gangwon State. In Jeju Special Self‑Governing Province, rain will begin in the late afternoon. Expected rainfall for the 4th and 5th is 20 to 60 mm in Jeju’s mountainous and mid‑mountain areas and 10 to 40 mm elsewhere on the island. Fine dust levels are projected to be “good” to “moderate” nationwide, though the greater Seoul area may see “bad” levels for part of the morning. Near‑shore waves in the East, West and South seas are forecast at 0.5 to 1.0 m. In inner offshore waters within about 200 km of the coast, wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 1.5 m in the East Sea and 0.5 to 2.5 m in the West and South seas.
