DMK Secretary Duraimurugan Defends Granddaughter’s Hindu Wedding Rituals
DMK general secretary Duraimurugan said on Friday that his granddaughter’s wedding, which included traditional Hindu rituals, was conducted at her request. He explained that the bride, who was educated overseas, had expressed a desire to marry a partner outside their caste and wanted a Hindu ceremony. Duraimurugan admitted he agreed to the arrangement because of her strong persistence. He added that he regrets the controversy and urged people not to politicise the matter.
