GTB Secures WTCA License for Chengalpattu IT Township

GT Bharathi Urban Developers Pvt Ltd (GTB Developers) has received a licence from the World Trade Centers Association to develop the World Trade Center Chengalpattu. The project will be an IT‑integrated township covering 100 to 150 acres, rather than an industrial estate, with an estimated value of ₹7,000 crore. Development will occur in phases over about ten years and the masterplan will include commercial and IT office space, hospitality, residential units and an education zone. GTB is actively identifying and securing land for the project. The company is also pursuing a second World Trade Center development in Kanchipuram district, proposed on roughly 500 acres. That site is intended to be an industrial World Trade Center with manufacturing and data‑centre zones, along with infrastructure, education and hospitality facilities. GTB plans to explore the Chengalpattu project under a public‑private partnership model, a structure used for World Trade Center developments worldwide.
