Vance Reports ‘Progress’ in Iran Talks, Tehran Demands Blockade Lift
By Mahmoud Sayed, Ahmad Elmouniery

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said Washington has made "progress" in indirect peace talks with Iran. Tehran, however, maintains that the U.S. must lift its naval blockade and meet its demands before any agreement can be reached. In related maritime incidents, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported that two crude oil tankers caught fire after striking sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz. Gulf states condemned the attack on a Qatari liquefied natural gas carrier that occurred on Friday.
