Karan Johar Hails Shah Rukh Khan as ‘One and Only King’ Ahead of ‘King’ Poster Release
Filmmaker Karan Johar expressed his excitement for superstar Shah Rukh Khan, calling him “The ONE and Only KING.” On Instagram Stories, Johar posted the new poster for Khan’s upcoming film *King* and wrote, “And he is back!!!!!!! The One and Only King!!!! #King.” Actress Ananya Panday added, “Christmas present for everyone,” with red‑hearted‑eye emojis.
The poster, released on Tuesday just days before Khan’s 61st birthday, shows the actor in a vengeful pose, holding a gun as he emerges from a tunnel of flames. He wears an unbuttoned dark shirt that exposes a bloodied chest, giving the image a gritty, action‑packed feel. Khan’s caption on the post read, “Aaj phir yaad aaya…Qaatil nahi… Aashiq hoon…#KING.”
*King* is directed by Siddharth Anand and is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 24, 2026, making it a major Christmas release. The film reunites Khan with Anand after their 2023 collaboration on *Pathaan*. In addition to Khan, the cast includes his daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone. Reports indicate that Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor Khan are expected to make special appearances in the film.
