Police and the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) said that on Friday morning, two schools in the capital—Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate and Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School on Barakhamba Road—received bomb threat emails. The schools began evacuating students around 10 a.m. after receiving the messages. SPV issued a letter stating that the threat had been received, that precautions were being taken, and that classes would resume once the building was declared safe. RSJM issued a letter informing parents that the school had received a bomb threat, that students were being dispersed early for safety, and that buses would run earlier than usual.

After the alerts, police teams, bomb disposal squads, dog squads, the fire department, and bomb detection teams rushed to the schools. The premises were searched for an hour, but nothing suspicious was found. Police have not yet filed a first information report (FIR) and have not identified the sender of the emails.
