Sandra Bullock’s 91‑acre Valley Center Ranch Sold for $5.6 Million After Decade of Renovations and Avocado Farming

In 2007, Sandra Bullock bought 91 acres of rolling land in Valley Center, a rural community northeast of San Diego, for $2.725 million. The property, which included a Spanish‑style adobe ranch built in 1976, was renovated by Bullock over the next decade. She updated the main house, added a guest cottage and a barn, and planted an organic avocado grove of roughly 1,200 trees, making it one of the larger certified organic groves in the area. The ranch served as a weekend retreat and working farm, reflecting Bullock’s interest in sustainable living. In 2024, the property sold for $5.6 million, a profit of about $2.875 million over the purchase price, according to Mansion Global and Architectural Digest. The sale was handled by Compass, which highlighted the ranch’s land, renovated adobe home, avocado grove, and potential for continued agricultural use. The new owners will continue the avocado grove as a working farm, while the ranch remains a private estate that blends residential living with farming responsibilities.
