IOCL Recruitment 2026: Applications Open for 470 Executive Posts, Check Eligibility and Exam Date

Indian Oil Corporation Limited has opened online applications for 470 executive-level vacancies across engineering, marketing, law and quality-control departments. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official IOCL website until September 3, 2026, at 5 p.m.

The recruitment drive is being conducted under Advertisement No. IOCL/CO-HR/RECTT/2026/01. The application window opened on August 14, and candidates are advised to complete the process before the deadline instead of waiting until the final day.

The vacancies include 360 posts for Graduate Engineers in Grade A, 41 Officer-Marketing positions, 10 Law Officer posts, 9 Assistant Quality Control Officer positions and 50 Junior Engineer or Junior Officer roles. The engineering vacancies cover disciplines such as chemical, civil, computer science and information technology, electrical, electronics and communication, instrumentation and mechanical engineering.

Candidates applying for Graduate Engineer positions must hold a full-time engineering degree in the relevant discipline and meet the prescribed marks requirement. Applicants for Officer-Marketing posts are required to have an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in marketing management. Law Officer candidates must possess a law degree and meet the experience requirement specified in the official notification.

The recruitment process will begin with a Computer-Based Test. The CBT is scheduled to be conducted on September 24, 2026, while admit cards are expected to be issued from September 15. Candidates shortlisted after the written examination will be called for further stages, including Group Discussion, Group Task and Personal Interview, depending on the post.

The required qualification must be obtained through a regular full-time programme. Part-time, correspondence, distance-learning and online qualifications will not be accepted for the advertised positions. Candidates must also have their final degree or marksheet available by September 30, 2026, wherever applicable.

The upper age limit varies according to the post. For Graduate Engineer and Junior Engineer positions, the maximum age is generally 26 years. The limit is 28 years for Officer-Marketing posts and 30 years for Law Officer and Assistant Quality Control Officer roles. Age will be calculated as on July 1, 2026, with relaxation available to eligible reserved categories according to government rules.

The pay scale differs by grade. Officers appointed in Grade A will receive a basic pay scale of ₹50,000 to ₹1,60,000 per month. Grade A0 positions carry a scale of ₹40,000 to ₹1,40,000, while Grade E0 posts offer ₹30,000 to ₹1,20,000. Selected candidates may also receive allowances and benefits as applicable under IOCL rules.

General, OBC and EWS candidates are required to pay the prescribed application fee along with applicable taxes. Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, PwBD and women categories are exempt from the fee. Applicants should read the official notification carefully before completing the online form and verify all details before final submission.
