Maruti Brezza Facelift Likely to Bring Fresh Design, New Features and Turbo Petrol Option

Date:

Maruti Suzuki is expected to strengthen its compact SUV lineup with the upcoming Brezza facelift, which could arrive with a refreshed design, upgraded features and a possible new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine option. The Brezza has remained one of Maruti’s most important SUVs in India, but rising competition from models such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3XO has made the facelift more important than ever. The updated model is likely to receive sharper exterior styling, including revised front and rear design elements, new lighting details and subtle cosmetic changes aimed at giving the SUV a more modern road presence. Inside, Maruti is expected to focus on improving comfort and technology, with possible upgrades to the infotainment system, cabin materials, connected features and convenience equipment. The biggest talking point, however, is the expected addition of a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which could give the Brezza stronger appeal among buyers looking for better performance without moving away from Maruti’s reputation for efficiency and reliability. Safety upgrades are also expected as carmakers continue to respond to growing customer demand for better occupant protection and advanced features in the compact SUV segment. The facelifted Brezza may also continue with existing petrol and CNG options, helping Maruti serve both performance-focused and mileage-conscious buyers. Pricing has not been officially announced yet, but the updated Brezza could see a slight premium over the current model because of the new design, technology and mechanical upgrades. If launched as expected, the 2026 Brezza facelift could become a key product for Maruti Suzuki, helping the company defend its position in one of India’s most competitive SUV categories while giving buyers a fresher and more feature-rich alternative in the sub-four-metre SUV market.
