Google Launches Gemini Omni Flash for AI Video Creation and Editing

Date:

Google has unveiled Gemini Omni Flash, the first model in its new Gemini Omni family, designed to help users create and edit videos using natural language and multiple input types. The model can combine text, images, audio, and video to generate high-quality video clips, while also allowing users to refine scenes through conversation. According to Google, Gemini Omni Flash can keep characters consistent, preserve scene context, adjust camera angles, add objects, transform environments, and apply styles or motion effects across multiple editing steps. The company says the model is grounded in Gemini’s real-world knowledge, helping it create more realistic physics, meaningful visuals, and clearer explainers for complex ideas. Google is rolling out Gemini Omni Flash to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers through the Gemini app and Google Flow, while YouTube Shorts and YouTube Create users will receive access at no cost starting this week. The company also said developer and enterprise API access will arrive in the coming weeks. To support transparency, videos made with Omni will include SynthID digital watermarking and can be verified through the Gemini app, Chrome, and Google Search.
