Oppo Find X10 Pro Max to Debut Globally with MediaTek's New Dimensity 9600 Pro Chip

Oppo has announced that its upcoming Find X10 Pro Max smartphone will be released worldwide and will be among the first devices to feature MediaTek's newly unveiled Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. The device has not yet been officially revealed in full, but its Chinese launch is scheduled for September 22, with a separate global release expected the following month.

Alongside the Pro Max, the standard Find X10 and a Find X10 E model have also appeared on Oppo's Chinese online store. It remains unclear whether all three variants will be sold internationally or if their specifications will match those offered in China. The Find X10 Pro Max is listed with four memory and storage configurations: 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB. Pricing has not yet been disclosed.

Much of Oppo's announcement centered on the capabilities of the Dimensity 9600 Pro, MediaTek's first chip built on a 2-nanometer process (TSMC's N2P node). The company says the chipset delivers significant performance gains, including up to 15 percent faster multi-core CPU performance and up to 27 percent improved GPU performance compared to its predecessor. Its neural processing unit reportedly offers double the INT4 AI performance of the Dimensity 9500 NPU. Notably, the new CPU is also up to 61 percent more power-efficient during multi-core tasks. The chip's architecture includes two Arm Cortex C2-Ultra cores clocked at up to 4.55GHz, an upgrade from the single Ultra-class core found in last year's Dimensity 9500.

Oppo also worked with MediaTek to co-develop a new technology called the Laminar Flow Engine, which will make its debut on the Find X10 Pro Max. According to Oppo, this system improves the balance between responsiveness and energy efficiency by restructuring the device's rendering architecture and more closely aligning it with system-level scheduling.

Beyond the new chipset, the Find X10 Pro Max is expected to feature a triple 200-megapixel camera system, comprising a main sensor with an f/1.5 aperture and 17 EV dynamic range, a periscope telephoto lens with an f/2.1 aperture and CIPA-rated 7.5-stop stabilization, and a 124-degree ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture. The phone is also expected to include an 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and a display with significantly thinner bezels—reportedly measuring 0.99mm, compared to 1.15mm on the Find X9 series and 1.45mm on the Find X8 series.
