Aneet Padda Makes First Public Appearance Since Saiyaara at Hunkkaar Trailer Launch
By Fenil Seta

Aneet Padda, along with co-stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Raghubir Yadav, Zoya Hussain, and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, attended the trailer launch of the web series Hunkkaar - The Roar in Mumbai. The event held special significance for Aneet, marking her first promotional appearance since the release of the 2025 sleeper hit Saiyaara. Her arrival drew intense attention from photographers eager to capture her entry. During the event, Aneet performed a short act on stage before joining her co-stars for a discussion about the show and her experience working on it. Speaking about the series, Aneet Padda said that what stood out most to her was how personal experiences, once shared publicly, often become subject to collective judgment, sometimes causing the individual to doubt their own truth amid conflicting opinions. She explained that this dynamic forms the emotional core of Hunkkaar, which explores both a specific story and broader, universal human experiences. Padda also shared that she auditioned for the role at the age of 19, noting that the show deals with a sensitive and complex subject that would typically be challenging for someone her age to fully grasp. However, she felt this aligned well with her character, a 17-year-old who experiences a traumatic event she struggles to articulate, even to herself. Padda mentioned that she shot the project at age 20, and that as she read deeper into the script, she began questioning her own perspective due to the strength of conflicting viewpoints presented by other characters. She recalled a moment during a workshop with her acting teacher, Rachit, where she was asked to respond instinctively to questions about victimhood and her feelings. She noted that her answer reflected a complex mix of fear, anger, and uncertainty, and described the story as a coming-of-age narrative centered on a teenager confronting deeply serious issues. Hunkkaar - The Roar is set to premiere on JioHotstar on September 25.
