Mirzapur The Movie, the big-screen spin-off of the popular gangster drama series, continues to post strong numbers at the box office following its September 4 release. The film stars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu Sharma, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Ravi Kishan, Rasika Duggal, Mohit Malik, Sheeba Chaddha, Rajesh Tailang, Abhishek Banerjee and Harshita Gaur.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated Rs 25.75 crore net on its opening day. On day two, collections rose to Rs 32 crore net across 11,256 shows, marking a growth of approximately 24.3 percent. This brought the film's total India gross collection to Rs 69.30 crore and its India net collection to Rs 57.75 crore. Overseas, the film collected Rs 6 crore on its second day, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 10.25 crore, which pushed the worldwide gross to Rs 79.55 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that the film's Saturday performance grew by 16.70 percent compared to Friday, despite Friday having benefited from Janmashtami festivities. He observed that business typically dips after a holiday, but this was not the case with Mirzapur The Movie, calling it a sign of strong audience acceptance. He projected the film could achieve a three-day weekend total of around Rs 95 crore, plus or minus. Adarsh also shared figures for the Hindi version, noting Friday collections of Rs 27.85 crore and Saturday collections of Rs 32.50 crore, totaling Rs 60.35 crore for the week. A limited Telugu release earned Rs 26 lakh on Friday and Rs 28 lakh on Saturday, totaling Rs 54 lakh.

By Sunday, updates continued to roll in. As of 3 pm, running across 5,897 shows, the film had collected Rs 10.43 crore net for the day, pushing its total India gross to Rs 81.61 crore and total India net to Rs 68.18 crore. Earlier in the day, at 1 pm across 3,857 shows, the film had collected Rs 3.41 crore net, with total India gross at Rs 73.32 crore and net at Rs 61.16 crore. At 12 pm, the film was running across the same number of shows with the same collection figure. At 11 am, running across 3,208 shows, it had collected Rs 2.16 crore net, while at 10 am, across 2,564 shows, it had collected Rs 1.64 crore net.

The film has positioned itself among the highest openers of 2026, behind Dhurandhar, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups and Border 2, while surpassing Emraan Hashmi's Awarapan 2, which had opened at Rs 22 crore net.

The film has drawn strong reactions on social media. One user compared the theatre atmosphere to the Salman Khan era, praising the energy in a housefull show. Another user noted that Ali Fazal and Divyenndu Sharma received superstar-level cheers in cinema halls. Journalist Subhash K Jha called it the best action film of the year, praising its energy and characters. Another viewer gave the film 3.5 stars, saying it was highly enjoyable despite not being a great film, and praised Ravi Kishan's performance as a strong addition to the franchise. A social media user also noted that the film, set between episodes six and seven of season one, felt like a stretched-out episode running three hours and fifteen minutes, built around Babban Babua Yadav's attempt to overthrow Kaleen Bhaiya, though nostalgia remained a major draw.

Actor Amol Parashar praised the film and its cast, urging audiences to support it by buying tickets, stating that box office success depends on money spent rather than sentiment alone. He commended the actors for years of hard work and said their recognition was well deserved.

Not all reactions were positive. Commentator KRK criticized the film along with another show, suggesting both succeeded due to crude content, and placed responsibility on audience preferences rather than filmmakers. Separately, a content creator described walking out of a screening due to disruptive, intoxicated audience members, saying theatre staff were unable to resolve the situation and advised calling the police, which added to her frustration despite enjoying the film itself.
