Vivo V80 FE Packs 7,000‑mAh Battery, Triple 50MP Cameras, and 90W Fast Charging in an 8mm‑Thin Phone

The vivo V80 FE combines three 50‑megapixel ZEISS cameras, a 7,000‑mAh battery, and 90‑W fast charging in a smartphone that is less than 8 mm thick. The device also features a 120‑Hz AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400‑Turbo processor, and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance. The price and release date are still to be announced.

Camera System The V80 FE’s camera setup includes a main 50‑MP sensor with a 1/1.56‑inch sensor, f/1.88 aperture, autofocus, and optical image stabilization. It offers ZEISS Multifocal Portrait framing options at 23 mm, 35 mm, and 50 mm, and ZEISS bokeh effects for background blur. The ultra‑wide camera is 50 MP, f/2.05, 120‑degree field of view, and the front camera is also 50 MP with a 92‑degree field of view. The phone lacks a dedicated telephoto lens; the 50‑mm portrait option changes framing rather than providing optical zoom. Additional features include AI Aura Light Portrait 2.0, AI 3D Studio Lighting 2.0, creative fisheye effects, and 4K recording on both front and rear cameras.

Battery and Charging The V80 FE uses a BlueVolt battery with fourth‑generation silicon‑carbon anode technology. It has a typical capacity of 7,000 mAh and a rated capacity of 6,800 mAh. In lab tests, vivo recorded 17.6 hours of navigation and 15.5 hours of Reels scrolling. The phone supports 90‑W FlashCharge, achieving 50 % charge in 29 minutes in vivo’s tests. A charger and USB cable are included, and reverse charging is available. The battery incorporates second‑generation semi‑solid technology and is specified to operate at temperatures as low as –20 °C.

Display and Design The 6.59‑inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 2,750 × 1,260 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Brightness reaches 1,800 nits in high‑brightness mode, with a local peak of 3,000 nits, and can dim to 1 nit for nighttime use. Two finishes are offered: Chill Green (7.76 mm thick, 201 g) and Sparkling Gold (7.84 mm thick, 202 g). Both have glass backs, in‑display optical fingerprint sensors, and IP68/IP69 ratings.

Processor and Software The device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400‑Turbo, a 4 nm, eight‑core CPU with 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and either 128 GB or 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage. It supports up to 16 GB of extended RAM. A 4,666 mm² vapor chamber helps dissipate heat. Audio is handled by dual stereo speakers. Connectivity includes 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual‑band Wi‑Fi, and an infrared blaster. The phone runs OriginOS 7 based on Android 17 and comes with a commitment of six years of security updates from the launch date in the buyer’s country or region.

Availability The vivo V80 FE is listed on vivo’s Philippine website, but pricing and an exact release date have not yet been announced. The phone is positioned as a mid‑range device that offers high‑resolution cameras, a large battery, fast charging, and long‑term software support, but it does not include a dedicated telephoto lens or flagship‑level gaming performance.
