The actor was attacked on January 16, 2025, when an intruder, Mohammed Shariful, entered the house to confront his domestic help. Saif intervened and was stabbed multiple times, requiring a six‑hour surgery. He returned home on January 21, 2025. Police arrested Shariful three days after the incident. Saif described the night as “the worst night in the history of nights,” and said he had to maintain a strong front for his children, who also witnessed the event. Kapoor revealed that she could not sleep for six months after the attack, recalling how she screamed “Ruko, ruko” on the road in a moment that felt like a movie scene. Both actors thanked their families and supporters for the love and assistance they received during the ordeal.
