Paramjith Dhankhar, former regional business head of Tech Mahindra’s Asia‑Pacific region and senior vice president of FPT Software Company Limited, was shot dead on Friday night in Faridabad’s Sector 21C. Police say the suspect, Mohan Sharma, fired about 15 rounds from his licensed pistol, nine of which struck Dhankhar, killing him on the spot. An FIR under section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act was registered at Surajkund police station on Saturday after Dhankhar’s son, Shaurya Dhankhar, lodged a complaint. Sharma is now absconding. The two families, living in the same four‑storey building, had been in a dispute for several days over parking and a dog defecating in the parking area. Dhankhar lived on the ground floor; Sharma lived on the second floor. The argument escalated on Friday when Sharma allegedly called Dhankhar out of his home and shot him. Dhankhar had returned to Faridabad on November 5 to attend his nephew’s wedding on November 24. Police, crime branches and forensic teams reached the scene, recovered empty cartridges, and took Dhankhar’s body to Badshah Khan Civil Hospital for autopsy. Faridabad police public relations officer Yashpal Yadav said Sharma fled the scene soon after the incident and that multiple teams were formed to arrest him as quickly as possible.
