Nvidia and AMD Commit $4 Billion to Meta Amid AI Funding Push

Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices announced they will invest a combined $4 billion in Meta after the social‑media company revealed plans to raise $95 billion for AI infrastructure. Meta said it would first raise $35 billion through underwritten public equity offerings and then $60 billion via an at‑the‑market program. Nvidia will invest $3 billion in Meta’s equity offering, while AMD will invest $1 billion. Meta’s announcement noted that Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom were interested in buying up to $5 billion in shares. Nvidia’s investment was announced on Tuesday, adding that Meta would expand its Vera Rubin and Vera CPU deployments and deepen its partnership on Muse, Meta’s AI agent launched last month. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said, “AI agents represent a new computing paradigm — software that understands our goals, reasons, uses tools and gets work done on our behalf. This changes how we use computers, from operating applications to working with intelligent agents.” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, “We’re excited to keep working with NVIDIA to deliver the best personal agents and frontier models for billions of people.” AMD said its Helios racks were running at Meta and its EPYC processors were powering Meta’s Muse. AMD CEO Lisa Su said, “Together, we are building and deploying infrastructure at gigawatt scale and shaping future generations of silicon, software and systems to enable Meta’s most ambitious superintelligence models and services.” AMD’s shares rose 3 % on Tuesday, Nvidia’s were flat, and Meta’s fell 1 %. Nvidia and AMD have been increasing stakes in AI‑related companies. Nvidia has invested in OpenAI, Anthropic, Intel and XAI and participated in 121 investment rounds this year, up from 13 in 2022. AMD announced in July it would make an equity investment of up to $5 billion in Anthropic and has been involved in 25 funding rounds in 2026, up from two in 2022.
