Pujara says Kohli more likely to score century than Rohit in NZ ODI series

Former India batter Cheteshwar Pujara said Virat Kohli has a better chance than Rohit Sharma of scoring a century in the upcoming five‑match ODI series against New Zealand. Pujara explained that Kohli’s position at number three gives him more time to settle and build an innings, whereas Rohit normally provides an aggressive start in the powerplay. He added that New Zealand conditions might change Rohit’s role, but Kohli’s anchor style makes a century easier from that slot. Pujara told JioStar, quoted by IANS, that the opener’s role is also defined but can shift in New Zealand. He expects the series to be closely contested, with New Zealand having a slight advantage because India will use different combinations in the first three matches and the last two. Pujara remains confident of India’s performance in the first three games but sees the final two as a tougher challenge, noting that rain could wash out one match.}
