Lowe‑Painter Couple Lists Mar Vista Home for $3.249 Million After Daughter’s Suicide

Actor Chad Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter, have put their 3,239‑square‑foot Mar Vista home on the market for $3.249 million, less than three weeks after the death of their 13‑year‑old daughter, Fiona. Real‑estate records cited by TMZ show the couple has already accepted an offer, though the sale remains contingent on certain conditions. The property, which features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, vaulted ceilings and Spanish‑style architecture, was purchased by the couple for $3.15 million in March 2025. Fiona died by suicide on September 29. In a statement shared with Page Six, the family said they were “deeply heartbroken” by her passing, adding that she was “adored by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents” and that “her passing is devastating for our entire family.” They asked for prayers and privacy. Fiona is survived by her parents and her two sisters, Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10. Mabel posted an emotional tribute to her younger sister on Instagram, expressing love and remembrance. A family friend, music executive Mykesha Robinson, told the Daily Mail that the family had “lost everything” in last year’s Palisades fire, which she said affected Fiona. Robinson described Fiona as a “ray of light” who “would go up and talk to anybody.” Earlier this month, the Lowe‑Painter family held a private celebration of life for Fiona, attended by family members and close friends. The family made its first public appearance since Fiona’s death at the wedding of Rob Lowe’s son Matthew on October 10. Chad is the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe.
