Modi Blames Opposition for ‘Obstruction’ and Calls for Border Security
By Bharti Jain

PM Narendra Modi said that the next major priority is fully securing India’s borders. Speaking at the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas parade in Ekta Nagar, Kevaadia, Modi attacked the opposition for abandoning its constitutional duty and resorting to a politics of ‘obstruction’, driven by “despair and disappointment”. He recalled how Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and B. R. Ambedkar, while framing the Constitution, had clearly laid down the duties and roles of government and opposition. “Opposition is exercising politics of ‘obstruction’, in complete disregard of constitutional boundaries and propriety,” he added.
Modi warned against divisive forces that have emerged after more than a decade of political frustration, plotting conspiracies, pitting citizens against one another and weaponising social media to spread rumours and tarnish India’s image. He urged citizens to recognise the patterns of such forces conducting secret foreign meetings, their external backing by anti‑India elements, and their rhetoric echoing the nation’s enemies.
He noted that while Naxalism has been ended in remote areas, the threat from ideological extremists (dimagi Naxals) is not yet over and the country must remain vigilant. Modi stressed that the grand mission of national unity and the journey toward a strong and capable India must continue despite difficulties. He outlined the next major national priorities: fully securing India’s borders, ending infiltration and resulting demographic changes, and advancing toward a secular civil code.
Acknowledging that major resolutions and bold decisions will inevitably face roadblocks, he declared that the nation will not be deterred from the unwavering resolves of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ and a ‘Viksit Bharat’, working tirelessly toward the 2047 goal of a strong and capable India.
