Bigg Boss 20 Episode 54: Breakfast Dispute, Task Chaos and New Captain Kanika Mann

By Angelina Florence Shicil

Episode 54 of Bigg Boss 20 featured a series of conflicts that escalated from everyday conversations to task‑related arguments. The episode began with a disagreement between Love Gill and Mahhi Vij over a breakfast matter. Love felt offended by Mahhi’s remarks while Qazi Touqeer was speaking to ScoutOP about clarity between Love and Scout. Mahhi asked Aamrapali Dubey about “besan”, and when Aamrapali suggested she ask Love, Mahhi approached Love. Love told her she would come after others had chopped. Miscommunication followed when Aamrapali asked Mahhi if she had obtained the besan; Mahhi said Love had promised it. Love confronted Mahhi, questioning her concern and mimicking her mannerisms, saying she would have to learn “chall kapat” from Mahhi. Mahhi then told Arishfa and Uditi that she did not want to involve Scout in the matter.

The captaincy task involved geometric shapes with numbers. Housemates had to position themselves on the correct shape as Bigg Boss called out a number, and Mahhi Vij acted as the “sanchalak”, deciding which two contestants had stepped out of the shape first in each round. The eliminations were: - Round 1: Uditi Singh, Yung DSA - Round 2: Qazi Touqeer, Manish Goel - Round 3: ScoutOP, Gullu - Round 4: Arishfa Khan, Aamrapali Dubey - Round 5: Love Gill, Aasif Khan

Kanika Mann was appointed the new captain after the task.

During the task, Arishfa Khan and ScoutOP had a heated exchange. Arishfa tried to climb over other housemates to secure her position, and Scout claimed her knee had hit him in the face. Arishfa said it was accidental and part of the task. Scout mimicked Arishfa and called her a “rotten apple”, prompting Uditi to intervene. Arishfa moved to another shape and later left the task with Aamrapali. Scout mocked Arishfa, who responded with a verbal confrontation. When Scout later apologized, Arishfa replied, “get lost”.

Yung DSA and Gullu also clashed. Gullu, sitting on the shark figure near the poolside, pushed Yung in the chest. Manish Goel intervened to stop the escalation, but later experienced breathlessness and was taken to the medical room, where he was fine. Yung felt unsupported by his friends, especially Scout, who asked others about the incident instead of believing Yung. Scout expressed frustration to Aamrapali, saying he would not accept everything Yung said just because he considered him a younger brother.

Episode 54 ended with Kanika Mann as the new captain, Mahhi’s captaincy term concluding. The episode left several friendships and conflicts unresolved, setting the stage for future episodes.
