Minister Rijiju Challenges Congress on Electoral Roll Revision Ahead of Delhi Rally

Union minister Kiren Rijiju posted on X on Saturday, asking the Congress party to answer five questions before the opposition INDIA bloc’s rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan. The rally seeks the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Rijiju’s questions focus on the SIR, asking whether illegal immigrants, deceased persons and those who have relocated should be removed from the rolls and whether the eight previous revision exercises were also illegal.
