Pokémon UNITE to Shut Down March 23, 2027, with New Coin Exchange and Library Feature Launching Nov. 12

Pokémon UNITE will cease operation on Tuesday, March 23, 2027, at 00:00 UTC. A special event will run until the final day of service to thank players. On Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 04:00 UTC, the game will introduce a Unite Coin Exchange, Unite Coin Missions, a Unite Coin Log‑In Bonus, and a new Library feature.

The Unite Coin Exchange will let players trade special Unite coins for items that have appeared before, such as Unite licenses, Holowear, Trainer fashion items, Unite snapshot items, and more. Unite coins can be earned through the log‑in bonus and by completing special missions that start at the same time. Missions are completed by winning in ranked matches and other battle modes, awarding one or more Unite coins each time.

The Library feature will allow Trainers to visit the Practice Area and view items and achievements earned in‑game—including Holowear, Unite licenses, Trainer fashion items, emblems, tournament results, and more—even after service ends. It will also provide a way to look back at special memories created with Pokémon. The feature becomes available on November 12, 2026, at 04:00 UTC. Asset data required for the Library will be downloaded when the game is played normally or when the feature is first accessed.

Players must complete the initial data download before the service termination on March 23, 2027, to use the Library. Any new items or records obtained after the first download will automatically be added to the Library. After service ends, support for the Library will no longer be available, and library data cannot be transferred when changing devices. Deleted or lost game or library data may not be recoverable.

Library content will include: - Main Menu: access to Trainer fashion, Pokémon, Holowear, and backgrounds owned, with options to hide UI elements for commemorative photos. - Unite Licenses and Holowear: view owned Pokémon licences and change Holowear and licence art; favorite Pokémon appear on the main menu with selected Holowear. - Practice Area: view Holowear effects and Pokémon moves. - Closet: switch between owned Trainer fashion items. - Unite Snapshot: select frame, stickers, fashion items, background, expression, and pose from owned items. - Battle Items, Held Items, Boost Emblems: view owned items; recommend finishing merging boost emblems and upgrading held items by March 23, 2027. - Trainer Achievements, Pokémon Achievements, Tournament Participation Records: view up to the service termination date.

Pokémon UNITE launched on July 21, 2021, for Nintendo Switch, and on September 22, 2021, for iOS and Android. The game is a strategic team battle available on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. The developers thank all Trainers for their support and hope players enjoy the game until its final day.
