Mumbai Airport Network Glitch Affects 14 Flights, Manual Processing Implemented

A network problem at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Tuesday evening disrupted check‑in procedures for about 11 Air India and 3 IndiGo flights. The issue began around 7:05 pm and lasted roughly 50 minutes in its initial phase, causing confusion in departure halls, gate changes, crew delays and slower boarding scanner operations. While check‑in operations slowed, they did not stop entirely. Airport teams switched to manual processing to keep essential operations running and reduce passenger inconvenience. The system is still fluctuating but is gradually returning to normal. The Mumbai airport operator confirmed that the temporary disruption did not affect overall airport or flight operations. Airlines noted that their flights were already delayed due to air traffic control congestion, and the network issue added to operational challenges.
