By HT News Desk

Shadrack Emmanuel, 41, from Mangaluru, Karnataka, went missing in Tel Aviv on Oct. 16, 2025. He made a video call to his family at 8:05 pm that evening and sent a last WhatsApp message at 8:49 pm. Since then, his family has been unable to contact him or learn his whereabouts. His wife, Daisy Emmanuel, wrote to the Indian Embassy on Oct. 21, requesting coordination with Israeli police and local authorities to locate him. The family has also filed a complaint with the Mangaluru city police commissioner. Emmanuel, a resident of Kodakkal near Padil in Mangaluru, had travelled to Israel on May 16, 2025, on an employment visa arranged through a local recruitment agency. He was working for a private company near Nazareth. Phone location data and browsing history suggest he may have travelled toward Beersheba, about 200 km from his workplace, and searched for Hebron. The family fears he may have been caught up in unrest in the region, but no confirmed information about his whereabouts exists. Emmanuel has two young children. The family has appealed to the Indian community in Israel for assistance and has brought the matter to local public representatives. Mangaluru MP Capt Brijesh Chowta said he had written to the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi, urging it to help the family trace Emmanuel.
