Madhya Pradesh received investment opportunities exceeding ₹15,400 crore, including a ₹6,415 crore data centre in Gwalior, during a two‑day semiconductor summit that opened on Friday, October 23, 2026, in Indore. Officials said the commitments come from five companies that received letters of intent (LoI) for land allotment from Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. The projects are valued at ₹9,625 crore and are expected to create more than 4,450 direct jobs across Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior. One of the projects is a 50 MW hyperscale data centre at Ganga Malanpur in Gwalior, with an investment of ₹6,415 crore by CyTac RE.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also noted that the government has received proposals worth around ₹5,800 crore that could generate about 10,000 employment opportunities. After inaugurating the Madhya Pradesh Semiconductor Summit‑2026 at Indore’s Brilliant Convention Centre, Mr. Yadav highlighted that the state has introduced more than 25 policies aimed at easing business operations and attracting investment during his nearly three‑year tenure. Since taking office in December 2023, he has hosted multiple summits and conferences nationwide and travelled abroad to meet companies.

He said the state has received investment proposals worth approximately ₹34 lakh crore, with over 30 percent progressing toward implementation. The government is working to convert proposals into projects, reduce delays in investment processes, and resolve issues in a timely manner, prioritising decisions, projects and solutions.

The chief minister added that Gwalior is being developed as a telecommunications manufacturing hub and that the state is making significant strides in pharmaceuticals, textiles, defence production, power generation—reaching about 32,000 MW—and renewable energy.

A Semiconductor Centre of Excellence will be established to promote chip design, VLSI, innovation, research and development, prototyping and skill development. The centre will also focus on quantum computing, quantum communication, photonics, advanced materials and deep‑tech research. High‑tech industries such as semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, advanced packaging and chip design will be prioritised along the Indore–Ujjain Economic Corridor.

Mr. Yadav met individually with senior executives from 12 technology companies to discuss investment opportunities in the state.
