Nexon and K League Launch 2026 eK리그 FC Mobile Family Cup for Parent‑Child Teams
Nexon announced on October 21 that it will host the 2026 eK리그 FC Mobile Family Cup in partnership with the Korea Professional Football League. The tournament pits parent‑child pairs against each other, with teams representing the 12 K League clubs. Qualifying matches begin on October 24, starting with Ulsan and Gimcheon, and allow walk‑up registration on site without prior application. In the qualifiers, each parent and child play Attack Mode on their own accounts; the combined score determines the team’s rank. If scores tie, the team with the higher child score ranks higher, and if still tied, the team with the younger child ranks higher.
The main event will take place at the AfreecaTV FreecUp Studio on December 6 at 4 p.m., featuring a four‑team tournament among the club representatives to crown the champion. Final matches will be streamed live on EA Sports FC Mobile SOOP, Chzzk, and the official K League YouTube channel.
Families selected as club representatives receive several perks: all 12 families will be invited to the K League Awards ceremony on December 7, and the finalists will stay one night at Walkerhill on the day of the finals. A new Family Cup award category will be added to the K League Awards, and the winning and runner‑up families will each receive a state‑of‑the‑art smartphone.
