Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's WFAC Partners with Creative Lands for Global Release of Krishnavataram: Part 1-Hridayam
By Gayatri Rani

Krishnavataram: Part 1-Hridayam, the opening installment of the Krishnavataram trilogy, is set for an international theatrical release following a successful run in Indian cinemas, where it earned widespread praise for its devotional storytelling. The film will now expand its reach with support from Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of The Art of Living, who has come on board as producer. Dr. Sajan Raj Kurup, mentor at Creative Lands, will continue to help carry the film's message to audiences worldwide. The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed between Creative Lands and the Janmashtami World Forum for Art and Culture (WFCA) in the presence of Gurudev, who will lead the initiative moving forward. Under this partnership, Krishnavataram is positioned to grow into a global cultural movement spanning film, art, and legacy. As a first step, the film will embark on an extensive international theatrical tour, reaching Indian diaspora communities and global audiences in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and English. Speaking about the project, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said that Krishna represents the most attractive aspect of the Self, describing it as a divine energy that draws everything toward it, and noting that recognizing life and the world as Leela, or divine play, is when Krishna awakens within a person. Producer Dr. Sajan Raj Kurup said the film has found its rightful place under Gurudev's blessings, given his influence in transforming lives across the world. He added that the project reflects a commitment to bringing Indian culture and its foundational beliefs to global audiences, with the broader aim of establishing Krishnavataram as a lasting cultural movement in cinema and art. The World Forum for Art and Culture, established in September 2020 under The Art of Living, operates as a global cultural wing inspired by Gurudev's philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, or One World Family. It aims to bring together artists, performers, and art enthusiasts from across the globe. Through this partnership, organizers hope to create a contemporary gateway into the world of Krishna while preserving the philosophical, artistic, and cultural roots from which it originates. The global rollout of Krishnavataram: Part 1-Hridayam marks the beginning of efforts to introduce this cultural narrative to international audiences.
