Bayern Munich finished 3-3 with Viking in a UEFA Champions League group match on Tuesday, but Michael Olise was sent off after receiving two yellow cards within a minute. Bayern trailed 2-0 at halftime, with goals from Gianni Stensness and Peter Christiansen. Harry Kane scored twice and assisted once to give Bayern a 3-2 lead, but Olise received a second yellow for dissent after throwing the ball at an opponent’s face. Viking capitalised on the advantage, with Herman Haugen scoring in the final minute to secure a shock draw against the German giants. Olise’s dismissal means he will miss the upcoming Champions League clash with Arsenal in Munich. “It was our own fault,” Kompany said, describing the red card as “super dumb” and noting that Olise looks sorry. Kane equalled a club record by scoring in his ninth straight Champions League match, matching Robert Lewandowski, and falling two behind Cristiano Ronaldo’s 11‑match record. “It was a poor first half from us. We started the second half well and fought our way back. But the red card changed everything,” Kane said on Amazon Prime. He added that Olise will be “gutted” and must learn from the mistake. Bayern had been behind early again after conceding the fastest goal in Bundesliga history in a 2-2 draw at Augsburg. Stensness headed in a corner in the 72nd second to give the hosts a shock lead. Bayern pressed but could not break through, with Kane twice heading into Viking goalkeeper Arild Ostbo’s arms. Viking doubled their advantage at 38 minutes when Peter Christiansen finished off a slick move. Bayern were given a lifeline when Konrad Laimer was fouled in the box just after the break, allowing Kane to score from the spot. Kane then headed in a cross from Joshua Kimmich to level the scores. A minute later, a Colombian effort was ruled offside, but Kane’s chip 10 minutes later set up Laimer, whose rebound found Diaz. The England captain appeared to have saved Bayern, until Olise was sent off. The France winger received a yellow for a foul and then a second yellow when he threw the ball at Viking captain Zlatko Tripic’s face in front of the referee, leaving Bayern a man down with 16 minutes left. Viking pushed on and Haugen headed in at the far post in the 90th minute to secure the hosts a memorable draw.
