Tchouaméni Nears Return in Real Madrid Training, Doubts Remain Over Lunin for Inter Milan Clash

A report published Monday detailed Real Madrid's final training session ahead of their Champions League opener against Inter Milan on Tuesday. According to the newspaper AS, Tchouaméni continues to make excellent progress in his recovery. He trained with the team for a second consecutive day, moving normally and showing no signs of pain, which the club says has disappeared entirely.
Despite this positive development, Real Madrid intends to manage his return cautiously to avoid any setbacks, meaning Tchouaméni is unlikely to start against Inter Milan. However, he now has a real chance of being included in the matchday squad, a significant shift from the previous day when his participation appeared highly unlikely.
During training, Tchouaméni worked without protective bandages and took careful steps, appearing at ease throughout the session. The next phase of his recovery will focus on regaining full physical condition. No other major developments were reported from today's training.
Thiago and Endrick also participated in the session for a second day and showed encouraging signs, boosting their chances of being included in the squad, although neither is expected to start the match.
Four players are certain to miss the game against Inter Milan. Asensio remains several weeks away from returning, as confirmed by coach Mourinho during a press conference. Militão is expected to be sidelined for about a month. Mendy, who was recently left off the Champions League squad list, is not expected to return before Christmas at the earliest, while Rodrygo's return is anticipated around January.
Meanwhile, Lunin did not train this morning due to illness, and his availability for the squad remains uncertain until closer to kickoff.
