Park Medi World made a muted entry into the stock market<\/strong> on December 16, with its shares listing at a discount despite strong investor interest during its IPO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the BSE<\/strong>, the stock opened at \u20b9155.60 per share<\/strong>, nearly 4% lower<\/strong> than its IPO price of \u20b9162. At this level, the company\u2019s market capitalisation stood at around \u20b96,721 crore<\/strong>.
On the NSE<\/strong>, the shares fared slightly better, debuting at \u20b9158.80<\/strong>, a discount of about 2%<\/strong> to the issue price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strong IPO Demand, Weak Listing<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The subdued listing came as a surprise to many, especially since the company\u2019s \u20b9920-crore IPO<\/strong> received an enthusiastic response from investors. The issue, which was open for subscription from December 10 to 12<\/strong>, was subscribed more than eight times<\/strong> overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ahead of listing, Park Medi World\u2019s shares were trading at a small premium in the grey market<\/strong>, indicating expectations of a positive debut. However, that optimism faded closer to listing day, with grey market premiums dropping sharply from earlier highs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
